Pumping of household liquid waste

ORDER SERVICE

Waste is an integral part of human life. As civilization developed, more and more advanced and cost-effective methods of neutralizing and destroying waste were invented. Today, many household and industrial wastes are recyclable. For this, various types of appropriate equipment have been developed. However, liquid household waste is not recyclable. They are taken out with specialized equipment and destroyed.

Machines designed for the removal of liquid household waste for further disposal operate on a similar principle: due to the created discharge, sewage flows into a container fixed on the machine. Typically, the volume of the tank is in the range of 3.5-7 cubic meters. Our company has its own unique fleet of specialized equipment from foreign manufacturers.

What is household liquid waste?

This type of waste is usually divided into two classes – industrial and household. As the name implies, the first type is formed as a result of the work of enterprises. This waste can be toxic, sometimes even deadly to humans and can cause irreparable harm to the environment. In this regard, special control services are engaged in the supervision of the disposal of liquid waste from industrial production.

Household liquid waste is generated in houses and other buildings that are not equipped with a sewerage system. These are fecal masses, drains from showers and baths, sometimes they also include sewage – the consequences of precipitation. This waste is considered harmless. But with long-term storage near residential premises, not only a persistent unpleasant odor arises but also conditions for the reproduction of rats, pathogenic bacteria, as well as the formation of toxic gases (methane, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia). Therefore, any household liquid waste must be regularly removed.

The procedure for disposal of household liquid waste

Owners of private premises that are not equipped with a sewer system need to fix the following issues to solve the problem of waste products:

  • Equipment of waste pit for draining and storing masses;
  • selection of a company providing sewage disposal services (pumping out and removal of waste with a certain frequency);
  • control of the ecological state of the territory adjacent to the cesspool.

If drain pits are not made correctly, they can pose a threat of contamination to soils, groundwater, wells, and even rivers and lakes located in the area. According to safety regulations, these pits can be dug at a distance of 6 m from houses and other residential premises and at least 50 m from sources of drinking water. Waste pits are subject to mandatory fencing and waterproofing. In fact, what is called a “pit” is an airtight container with a tight-fitting lid.

Why is signing a contract with a company so important?

At the conclusion of the contract, the firm providing sewage services must provide a license for the transportation of liquid household waste. This is a guarantee that the pumped out fecal and sewage masses will not be dumped in inadmissible places but will fall into special sewage fields. The recommended frequency of cleaning drain pits in houses and cottages is at least twice a month. The pumping-out procedure is carried out with the help of special machines that transport about 3 cubic meters of household waste at a time. However, there is an option for minimal use of the services of vacuum trucks. To do this, instead of a standard waste pit, a sewer septic tank can be equipped on the site.

A septic tank is a special chamber tank, in which waste is filtered and cleaned with the help of special bacteria. It is modeled after industrial wastewater treatment plants. The purified water obtained with the help of a septic tank can be used for irrigation and solid masses can be taken out much less frequently than unfiltered liquid household waste.
